C I D II E III F IV G V A VI B VII C VIII

Uma outra progressão bastante comum é a I III IV.

There is a difference between a major chord and a minor. Musicians and music students as they try to express in words such a difference, often say that the sound of the major chords are more cheerful, while minor chords are sad. Thus, music sad reasons, tend to be built on minor chords and vice versa. This kind of feeling that is usually generated by different chords is also used in the construction of sequential patterns called progressions. Take a sequence of chords of any song, like the standard I, IV, V (CFGC). This is a chord progression. If this sequence is played several consecutive experimenting with different rhythms and beats you will notice that all the chords fit perfectly. There is a call between the chords, a chord creating a voltage higher or lower. This "appeal" is commonly called voltage, ie certain chords leading to a growing tension, building up tension. When it returns to C (Tonic) this tension is released. You can understand, listening to some music that strain is accumulating in certain areas, reaching a climax (with a certain frequency to the highest part), to then be released. This progression taken as an example, which is one of the most common nowadays, is called progression I IV V (the one quoted in the above example) and has precisely these characteristics of strain accumulation and subsequent release.

It is called the I IV V chord because it is composed of the number of I, IV and V of a musical scale, in this case C. See below:

D E C I II III IV F G A V B VI C VII VIII

On the scale of D, for example, it would have the following training: DGA D.

Another fairly common progression is I IV III. That the scale of C would result in C and F. And the scale of E eg E G # A. Experiment with this progression in different scales and with different beats.

The blues progression is also very important and should be studied. A large number of songs based on progressions typical and relatively easy to be learned, through which you can "take out" music and "lead" other without knowing their composition. The progressions are only on a basis that allows many variations, rather than fixed rules. Great musicians are precisely those that somehow do not respect these progressions without breaking the harmony of the musical ensemble, ie, the strain is accumulated and broken through an unconventional chord progression using creativity

Blues - pentatônica - pentatonic - blues

A escala do Blues, a 5 ª posição.

E ------------------------------------------ 5-8 -
B ----------------------------------- 5-8 ---------
G ------------------------- 5 - 7 - 8 ----------------
D ------------------ 5-7 --------------------------
A 5 -------- - 6-7 ---------------------------------
E - 5-8 ------------------------------------------ -

Blues Lick 1:

E -------------------------
B -------------------------
G -------------------------
D -------------------------
A 5 -------- - 6-5 ---------
E - 5-8 ------------ 8-5 -
Blues Lick 2:

E --------------------------
B --------------------------
G --------------------------
D ---------------------- 8 -
A 5 -------- - 6-5 ---------
E - 5-8 ------------ 8 -----

Blues Lick 3:

E -------------------------
B -------------------------
G ------------ 5 ------------
D ----- 5-7 ------ 7-5 - 7 -
A - 7 ----------------------
E --------------------------
Blues Lick 4:

E ----------------------- 5 - 8 - 5 ----------- 5 -
B ---------------- 5-8 ----- 8 ------------------
G ----- 5 - 7 - 8 --------------------------------
D - 7 -----------------------------------------
A --------------------------------------------
E ---------------------------------------------

You'll soon discover as I put up blues scales in more keys that we are using the same patterns just in different positions on the guitar neck. You really don't need to learn a lot of theory or scales to be able to play reasonably well. If you focus on learning the basic patterns you'll find you will be able to play along with a lot of music in a relatively short space of time.

Blues Licks for Slow Blues in A

Here are 4 simple blues licks that use only the notes from the A Blues Scale shown above. Try playing each lick over the entire progression. Notice that when you play the same notes over the different chords the licks sound very different. You can work out different rhythms to play for each lick and vary the notes used to make up your own blues licks.

That's what improvising is all about. Listening to others to get ideas, listening to the music you can sing in your head, emulating those ideas and sounds and then just playing around with them to come up with your own ideas. This is how you build your own sound. It's not a hard process to go through, you just need to spend time on it and be patient. Don't try and rush to get to the next level. Play, play more and play some more. Getting good will happen with practice. If you need to keep your hands on the neck getting good will take care of itself.

Notas naturais e acidentes - accidents and natural notes

NOTAS NATURAIS

A - LA
B - SI
C - DÓ
D - RÉ
E - MI
F - FA
G - SOL

A B C D E F G A
1 tom ½ tom 1 tom 1 tom ½ tom 1 tom 1 tom

[ 1 TOM ] [ ½ TOM ] [ 1 TOM ] [ 1 TOM ] [ ½ TOM ] [ 1 TOM ]

NATURAL NOTES

The notes more popularly known, are named after natural notes, they are: C, D, MI, FA, SOL, LA, SI.

FIGURES

To represent the notes musically, we use a representation that we call numbers. Thus are represented:

A - LA
B - SI
C - DOH
D - RE
E - MI
F - FA
G - SOL

It is important to memorize these numbers for a quick understanding how to put notes.

ACCIDENTS

So are called variations of notes or chords or tones escalas.como saw the natural notes are so named because of lack acidentes.A below demonstrate some of the accidents most often used.
Pound (#)

• sharp is used to represent a change in semitone above (explained after the subject accident)
For example: # (touch up the note or chord La semitone above)

La (5th house 6th. Rope), La # (6a. 6th house. Rope).

Flat (b)

• Flat means the opposite of sharp. Touch up the note or chord a half step down from the original.
For example: Ab (plays up the half step down from her original).

La (5th house 6th. Rope), Lab (4th to 6th house. Rope).

HUE

The notes have a difference of sound, the difference is marked by the tone, then we will see the difference between the notes as to its sound.

TOM: difference of two houses of the instrument.
SEMI-TONE: difference of only one house from one note to another arm of the instrument.

The notes played successively in this way form the scale that we call
Chroma. (The notes are played SEQUENCE: AA # BCC # DD # EFF # GG #).

The notes have two names: A #, Bb are called enharmonic notes.
The notes have only one name: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, are called harmonic notes.

Leitura de tablatura - Reading tablature

TABLATURA

Ver exemplo:

 ---2 3 5----------------------- 1º corda
 --------------------------------- 2º corda
 --------------------------------- 3º corda
 ----------------0------------------- 4º corda OBS: O Zero indica tocar corda solta.
 ----------------------------------- 5º corda
 ---------------------------------- 6º corda

TABLATURE

• most popular way to read music is a tablature. Through it we can see intervals or chords of a song and the technique used for each site. There are six lines, each representing a string instrument's neck, and the numbers placed on the lines represent the houses to be played. See example:

 ----------------------- --- 2 3 5 1 rope
 --------------------------------- 2nd string
 --------------------------------- 3rd string
 ---------------- 0 ------------------- 4 string Note: The Zero indicates playing string.
 ----------------------------------- 5 string
 ---------------------------------- 6 string

This indicates tablature for playing the second, third and fifth houses of the first string. Always read from left to right.

-------------- 3 ----------------------
-------------- 3 ----------------------
0 -------------- ---------------------- When the numbers are grouped into one
-------------- 0 ---------------------- upon the other one should touch them to
-------------- 2 ---------------------- same time, ie, represents a
-------------- 3 ----------------------- chord or interval, here, the sun (G).

To identify the techniques used in a particular piece of music is necessary to understand how the reading of some symbols used in tablature, we shall see.

Caring for your Guitar:
Here are some tips on how you can always keep your instrument above:

Strings:

The strings are steel, usually bathed in nickel or chrome, depending on model. Our hands perspire and sweat is the main cause of oxidation (rust) on the ropes, so always look after playing, do the cleaning of your strings with a dry cloth, flannel or silicone preferably with a protective oil suitable for strings. This will make them last up to three times more than normal! In time to replace them, do so by changing one by one and preferably always use the same voltage as before.

Body: Avoid bumps and cleaning with a dry cloth or polish will own a much more beautiful his guitar. At the height of the belts, if you're a guitarist who likes to jump on stage, etc., I advise the use of a strap lock to lock the belt, preventing falls from his instrument.

Bridge:

Because of the variety of bridges, I'll share this item in most models below:

Tremolo bridge: usually found in stratocaster models with leverage. As with strings, we must clean these metal parts in the same way, to avoid oxidation. The carts can be unthreaded and locked when enferrugam, making it impossible to adjustment. Use whenever possible an antioxidant on the bridge.

Bridge Tune-o-matic: Classical model of bridge of Les Paul models, requires less labor, and cleaning easier, but that should be made.

Bridge Floyd: This is the model of the bridge most beloved by many players and more hated by others due to its complexity. Being a floating bridge, where you can leverage for both sides, and has microafinação hence one should take more care than those common in both clean and in maintenance and replacement of strings, that should be done one by one and on the same voltage as before.

Fixed bridge: Common in telecaster, one must be careful again doing basic cleaning after use as the bridge tremolo, also has carts that oxidize, so clean where possible.

Arm: This is part of the guitar that needs more care. Avoid resting the arm on the guitar anywhere to prevent warping and falls whenever possible and store it in the case of wood or reinforced in a bag, or in support himself with his arm or lying down. The exchanges of strings should be done one by one, otherwise you may deregulate the arm. Whenever you want to change the tension of the strings used (009 to 010, etc. ...), you will need a new adjustment in the tensioner arm and in many cases also on the bridge. If you do it, fine, but I advise to take as a professional luthier in our affiliates.

Tuners: always use a good quality machine heads, because the main cause of tune guitars that comes from them very easily. In the case of bridge floyd is necessary to use a lock nut (lock nut chords). Cleaning should be done as the bridge, but less frequently.

Pickups: do the same cleaning the ropes, to prevent rust. The trick is to use a plastic adhesive contact as to avoid contact with air and sweat on his metal parts, plastic does not break the abstraction that is magnetic and does not change the tone of the pickup. Soon I will write guides with tips from pickups to use.

Or at least once every three months, take your instrument to a luthier for adjustments professionals truss rod, bridge, octaves, etc ... Nothing is worse than sharp guitars semitones in the region, in the middle of that beautiful land can not agree? A guitar unregulated besides being bad for playing, will only bring defects in posture, difficulty playing, tendinitis and pain in hands, and did not do well

History of the Guitar

The most popular and versatile instrument in the world originated from a Spanish musical instrument. The vihuela, as this instrument was called, was originated by two other, more ancient still, the 'ud, "with five strings, popular in the Middle East, and the" Cozbi ", a musical instrument Roman. The guitar or classical guitar, originated in Italy in 1970, and the electric guitar was a modification of violão.As own electric guitars emerged in 1930. They generated a sound too soft and low, very different from what we know today. To expand the sonic power of the instrument, they decided to put pickups, which function as microphones. This created a slight problem, as they did the bulges of the guitars vibrate, causing the famous change sound called feedback. To solve this problem, the famous Les Paul invented the solid body guitar, which left the instrument in the way we know it today in Day Rickenbacker company began manufacturing the first guitars in 1931. The first model of electric guitar to be marketed was the "Electro Spanish".

However, the main responsibility for mass production and popularization of the instrument was Leo Fender, creator of the most traditional guitar manufacturer that bears his surname. Fender also developed the most legendary guitars, in the opinion of many: Stratocaster.A Fender guitar became popular after the Second World War in the 50s and 60s, during which he won huge space in the music world. Today, it is estimated that there are about 50 millions of players worldwide.
